I worked for a frozen pizza manufacturer for a short while. The pepperoni slicer was literally long pepperoni sausages slid into a bed of holes and slid back and forth over blades to drop the slices onto the pizzas. <Starshine (she/they)> i do disagree about the misogyny heavily informing the text tho, unless you mean the absence of many women then yeah 100% but the women characters we do get, with the exception of arwen who was a late addition are full bodied characters with agency which is rare even today with a lot of writers
