I thought hard about this one for a bit, and you know that really is true for everyone still here (notwithstanding that some of you don't drink, but like, we all get the idea).

Well Yoji, the ones you already have are still in reasonable shape after a fair few years. I think you'd be just fine.

As for the beers, it's really just shorthand for casual discussion/hanging out in a public place, and it's two beers rather than one to imply you're talking for an extended period instead of just hurrying through one to get out of there. You could say dinner, but people don't typically use that because having dinner with someone has dating or family overtones. So more "Would you hang out with this person, in public, for an hour or two?"
