I made an Air Bud joke yesterday during a D&D game with my non-#ff friends... and I don't think I've ever had a joke fall flatter and have as many confused looks as I did right after. "My internet friends would have loved that." was also the wrong thing to say in explanation afterward. Friday, I want, nay, NEED you to know, Air Bud has breached containment.

The actual joke is, of course, that the Air Bud meme was alive and well far before I started that shit during one of those sessions back in #finalfight.

Like, every so often I will just see a new Air Bud joke in the wild. For whatever reason, this fucking dog has embedded itself in a niche in our shared popular culture.

Odie reviews Air Bud (which is itself a hidden spin-off injoke from Lasagna Cat) is like, the absolute peak of the internet.

But thank you for doing your part. One day, one of us will become President, and we will get a White House Dog, and we will name it something insane like Jeff Bud, and the meme will be complete.
