So, this is an old problem but it's happening again

whenever I try to change my avatar, I get an error message that says

"It was not possible to determine the dimensions of the image. Please verify that the URL you entered is correct."

No idea why, it's the same size as my current

EDIT: okay figured out a workaround but it's still fucking weird that it does that

(workaround was choosing to upload from my machine, then selecting to upload from another website)

I'm getting issues where I'm being logged out of the board constantly. It's happened on every Chromium browser I've tried it on, so I don't think it's an error on my part?

I've only been having it on desktop chrome, my phone seems to stay logged in. But yeah it's to the point of logging me out in the middle of checking new posts. I cleared my bronto cache and even my log in verifications on the boards but it still seems to be happening.

I can make it so that the server forces you to go to the https://wwww.brontoforum.us url (or https://brontoforum.us) and we can see if that helps anything?

I got the same error with http://corporate-sellout.com/img/youarewrong-av.jpg , for what it's worth (wound up uploading it instead of linking it).

Deleting the boards sounds like something Thad would do.

I don't know, it would probably be more satisfying to ban everybody one by one.

The Thad way to do this would also include carefully annotated and referenced entries for each ban.

[User "Mongrel" banned for this post - 2020-09-10, 6:01 pm EST. Disparaging Former Admin, 175th offence [1][2][3][4][4b][5] ... [171e][171f][172][173][173][173b][174][175]. For other offence types, reference Chart "D" on page 12 of the banlist.]

Is the discussion above related to the politics subforum having been suddenly renamed "Twitter"?

By "above" do you mean "last March"?

...speaking of which, anybody else have intermittent connection issues to the boards over the past couple days, or is it just this new VPN I'm using?

As of today, this is finally hitting me, too. Possibly related to me logging in on my phone yesterday?

Same here, I have no idea what's causing it.

It got worse, now it's sometimes requiring two logins in a row to get a working session...

It has also been affecting my phone for a while now, too.

On my phone(chrome), at first, I had a tab open with the forums and opening new tabs would keep me logged in, after I closed that first tab I am again logged out every time I navigate back to the forums.

On PC (chrome) I still got logged out seemingly after every new session. If I leave a tab open long enough and go to a new page on the forum it will log me out again, but if I turn off the computer with the tab open it seems to always still be logged in when I turn the computer back on, as it was before I made this post.

Don't know if any of that is actually helpful for figuring out what's going on.

yeah I've also been getting the "you have to log in twice to log in" bug fairly consistently.

It's annoying but not really a "problem" so far.
