I could try updating the phpBB version to current, see if that does anything.

The board would get all fucked up for a bit but I'll try to make it work on Friday night.

Looks like Mothra mothra'd it. Boards showed offline for a while and I was actually logged in when they came back.

Okay nevermind.

It seems like stored sessions will always keep you logged in but leaving the boards completely still logs me out of both devices.

The boards are back up!

Okay so my update attempt DID NOT GO WELL and I brought down the boards for two days, but, thankfully Lady swooped in and fixed it.

I believe we're back to where we were, so, let me know if the logout issue is still happening.

I'm currently using Vivaldi browser and OpenDNS on both Windows and Android, the Android version of this is working perfectly but Windows is pretending the site doesn't exist at all. Will try to add the full error response to this post.

... and of course today it's working fine on both. Heisenbug confirmed.

Two days? Thought it was only one?

Anyway, all good now.

I find it so weird that I was one of the first ones to mention the logout bug, but I haven't had it happen in weeks. Still on FF (for now).

I'm on Chrome 85.0.4183.102/Ubuntu 18.04 LTS with Google's DNS and no issues visiting the site or being logged out.

Now it's giving me a DNS not found page on Windows again, pauses for a few seconds then spontaneously moves on from that to the site working perfectly well with no user input. Will try to grab a source dump.

Okay here we go https://pastebin.com/vG5KfVvJ

After bragging about not being logged out yesterday, I was logged out this morning.

So while Mothra and Lady were doing actual work, I was creating

WEEABOARDS!!!

The Weeaboo... uh... boards.

These are dedicated non-English language forums that I had been thinking of setting up for a while, but now that I have a particular reason to actually try to polish my language skills, I got off my butt and did it. There's currently a Japanese language board and a French one. I think you can all probably tell which is which. Any mistranslations in the titles are various degrees of obviously intentional, but feel free to correct me anyway (ideally in the subforums themselves). The purpose of these boards is, well, general, but I hope some people can get in some valuable practice, spend some quality time in their native tongues, help each other out, and/or just be a huge nerd about everything.

Si hay algún interés en otros idiomas, hágamelo saber (gracias traducción automática).

Oh yeah, one rule, don't use any machine translation like I just did there (except as a quick lookup to form your own sentences). I'm sure you can figure out why.

That is all. Thanks again Mothra and Lady for keeping these things running well enough to do this.

EDIT: You can use machine translation to read I'm totally going to do that.

My first thought on seeing those was that they were a vital part of the bugfix somehow.

Is this one of those times I'm supposed to take him seriously?
