I'm at about the point where the Scions seem pretty close to moving to Mor Dhona, and I gotta say, it's continuously weirding me out how practically any single cutscene in the Hildibrand series has clearly had more heart put into it than the entirety of the actual main story so far.

That's because the Hildibrand content was secretly a way for the graphics team to test the limits of the models and effects for future content.

Hildy and other side stories like the tribe stories (ixal, kobolds, amaaljaa) are where the devs get experimental, and take the lessons learned into the MSQ for future expansions.
