Hot game deals
Re: Hot game deals
Total War: Rome Remastered is half-price until the end of May if you have a copy of the original Rome: Total War on your Steam account.
The original was one of the best games of 2004. It has a 94% positive rating on Steam, and I think it says something that even the recent downvotes are mainly complaining that they want to play the game (because it won't run on a modern PC setup, or because they removed it from sale before the remastered edition came out). Steam reviews of the remaster are mainly positive, with the main complaints being that it's basically the same game as the original, that they changed the UI, some users are experiencing crashes, and that unit pathfinding in cities is bad (this was also true in the original, but now unit paths are shown, so it's more obvious).
A bunch of other Total War games are 75% off for the next 24 hours, including Total War: Rome II, Medieval II, and Shogun II.

Heh. A good friend of mine has played Total War: Rome since the day it came out. And with good reason - it's one of, if not the best games in the franchise.

Now out for PS4, XB1, and Steam. 1943 is once again a free pack-in; there are other deals available that vary by what platform you get it for.

Dragonfall is extremely good.
Re: Hot game deals
Hong Kong is also excellent. If Dragonfall is a 9, Hong Kong is an 8.
Main Shadowrun Returns is a 6.5 IMO, for comparison

Re: Hot game deals
A general advisory for the Shadowrun games, do not respect your companions' privacy when there are things they'd rather not talk about right now. If you stop harassing them they'll disappear entirely as characters and only exist as undeveloped battlefield units.
Re: Hot game deals
Metal Gear Solid V for PC is on sale for the next day or two. MGS5 Ground Zeroes is $2, MGSV Phantom Pain is $5, and a pack with both of these and some cosmetic DLC is $7.49.
Probably not the only time MGSV has been on sale, but $7 is excellent value for such a legendary game.

I have a hard time imagining how anyone could make a more unappealing sentence without including the words "warts", "air pollution", "Trump 2024", o--

Beholder free to keep on Steam.

Crime Cities free at GOG if you sign up for a newsletter where they inundate you with clickbaity bullshit subject lines like "Aaahhh [scream emoji] You're about to lose your discount code [crying emoji]" and boy I gotta tell you my opinion of GOG has declined significantly in the last few years.
