I really wish I could get a solid read on Shatner. I see just as many pieces attacking his character as I do defending it, and they're all pretty convincing.

Shatner is an odd one. I think it's hard to get a read on him because his whole life has become terminally public, an act which never begins or ends, and that it's been decades since even he himself knew where Shatner the man and Shatner the public character begins or ends.
